"If you trust in nothing else, trust in this. Trust in us."
The Invitations
To make these, I ordered parchment-style card stock and small envelopes
in Spring Green from
Mohawk
Papers. The outside envelopes, in bright purple, are from Office Max.
The invitations were designed in MS Word using a free Celtic TrueType font
from
Ealoha.
I bought a celtic knot stamp from Crafts 2000 in Monroe, Michigan, and used
emerald embossing powder and a heating tool to emboss the ink. Most of these
supplies are available from
Michael's.
I cut each one out by hand (which was
very time-consuming) and attached
them to the invitation with "Pop Dots" to create a raised effect.
I printed the outside envelopes using the same font, and put the return address
on the envelope flap (this turned out to be a difficult task, as our printer
was somewhat uncooperative).
We ordered 37¢ "Spring Flowers" stamps from the
Post
Office's website. Since we used so many irises in our bouquets, it worked
out beautifully!
