Raiment
My bridesmaids wore dresses sewn by a local seamstress. We used brushed satin
and chiffon in deep purple, purchased from
Hancock
Fabrics. I bought each of the girls a green trinity knot necklace (by
Solvar) from
Ha'Penny
Imports in Dublin, Ohio. I found black sandal-style shoes at
Payless
that were perfect -- and only $8.99! I wore the
same shoes in white.
The groomsmen (and my dad) wore tuxedos from
President
Tuxedo. The vest pattern, in purple, was called Sunset.
I purchased this dress on sale from
David's
Bridal -- unfortunately, it has recently been discontinued. Made of white
satin with a chiffon overlay, it has a fitted bodice with a basque waist, and satin-covered
buttons along the back. The train is cathedral-length. The seamstress modified
the sleeves from the original to create long, split chiffon sleeves that were
very ethereal and romantic (but also stayed out of my food!). She also sewed
a fingertip-length veil from the same material.
I wore a trinity knot tiara, also from
Ha'Penny
Imports, with silver/amethyst earrings and a lavalier necklace purchased
on
eBay.
